If your passion lies in making a positive impact through compassionate action, the Community Care Centre for HIV/AIDS Children in Goa, India, beckons with a unique opportunity.
Founded in 2002 in Tivim and extended to Cavelossim in 2003, this center owes its inception to the unwavering dedication of Dr. Philomena DSouza, the former Head of the Department of Pediatrics at Goa Medical College. What began as a private initiative evolved under the stewardship of Caritas Goa, assuming management responsibilities in 2002. This center stands as a vital response to a critical need in Goa, serving as a caring home for children grappling with the challenges of HIV/AIDS.
The center currently accommodates 21 children, most of whom are orphans due to the passing of their parents, while others are dependent on its care due to their parents health conditions. The endeavor is not just a shelter; its a sanctuary providing emotional and physical support, symbolizing hope and resilience. Joining this initiative means becoming a catalyst for positive change, contributing to the lives of these vulnerable children and fostering an environment of care, compassion, and transformative experiences in the heart of Goa.
